Normally when you think of a church picnic, you think of a "fun time" and good food (especially for a Methodist picnic).  This year, we were blessed with a wonderful worship experience as well.  Pastor Jack Cohen had "searched" for the "correct" sermon topic all week long and at the same time he was teaching Adult Bible School with the book, The God Chasers as the subject material.  Well, God "came though" in His usual great way as Pastor Cohen delivered a sermon that was truly "inspired".  If you asked 20 different people what the "main topic" of the sermon was, you got 20 different answers.  You see, God gave each person just what they needed to hear that day.

Moore's Chapel today is at a "crossroad".  With a major building program in the planning stages and an evangelistic zeal growing within the congregation, a lot of major decisions are on the horizon.  The picnic served to bring the congregations of the "early" contemporary and the "late" traditional service together as a complete church family.  Satan would love nothing more than to see indecision and strife grow in this church.  He knows when he is in trouble.....

BUT... God's presence was at our picnic - in a big way... Six people were baptized and a Holy Communion in one of God's most beautiful surroundings served to bolster the faith and dedication of our "body of Christ".

WE MUST NOT LET GOD DOWN !  When you get over 125 people praying to see God's face and willing to put their worldly ways on the Alter of God to be consumed by the Fire of the Holy Spirit.....  big things WILL happen.
