Sunday School & Pulpit Chairs - 1908

History - Sunday School sign and flip chart, 1908 - Moore's Chapel United Methodist Church

This enhancement of the interior photo shows a "Sunday School" poster on the wall and a "flip chart" that was used in the teaching of the "Sabbath School".  It is interesting to note that prior to the re-modeling of the church in the 1980's, Sunday School classes were still held in the exact same location.

History - John McAllister original note showing Sabbath School - 1872

This "original note" from John McAllister shows that the "Sabbath School" was organized on May 26, 1872.  It also notes that  J. J. Murray used Psalms Chapter 50, Verse 2 during  the dedication of the church on June 9, 1871.
