Moore's Chapel United Methodist Women
The organized unit of the United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God
and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative and supportive fellowship;
and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global and local ministries of the church. All women
who attend Moore's Chapel are members of the United Methodist Women and are warmly invited to attend and
participate in the monthly meetings that include devotions, planning and fellowship.
The United Methodist Women had a very busy 2003 with a variety of fundraising activities. Funds raised
through these activities are used to support world and local mission projects. The total amount donated for missions in
2003 was $5,022. Missions supported this past year included the Convent of the Transfiguration in the
Dominican Republic, missionaries Gary and Rebecca Mink in Africa, CAM International, The Ray of Hope Mission Center
and the Cecil County Help Center. Financial help was also given for youth to attend
Camp Pecometh and
two youth mission trips were supported.
The following activities are planned for this spring
February 1 - Soup and Potato Lunch following the 11:00 service
February 7 - 6th Annual Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
March 13 - Pork and Beef Roast
May 16 - Mother/Daughter Banquet
